At Dancer's Den, private adjudication provides dancers, teachers, and choreographers with thoughtful, personalized feedback designed to elevate performance, artistry, and creative understanding.
With decades of experience as a dance competition adjudicator, Ashley brings a comprehensive perspective that goes beyond identifying strengths and areas for improvement. The focus is on helping dancers understand the purpose behind the feedback and how to apply it with intention.

Private adjudication creates a supportive environment for reflection, refinement, and artistic growth. Great feedback is not simply about correction—it is about building awareness, encouraging discovery, and helping dancers develop a stronger connection to their movement and performance.

Studio & Team Adjudication

Studio and team adjudication provides professional feedback during the rehearsal process, helping groups strengthen choreography, performance quality, staging, synchronization, musicality, and overall execution.
Designed for studios, teams, and ensembles, this service offers objective insight and practical recommendations to enhance routines, build confidence, and prepare dancers for competition with greater clarity and intention.

How Private Adjudication Works

The Dancer's Den Private Adjudication experience provides more than feedback. It offers understanding, direction, and a clear pathway for continued growth. Each performance receives a comprehensive critique focused on technical development, artistic expression, and overall performance quality, along with practical tools and actionable strategies to help dancers confidently implement the feedback in their training and future performances.

Step 1: Submit Your Performance Video
Submit performance video link filmed in landscape format. Videos should provide a clear view of movement, allowing for thoughtful observation of technique, artistry, and performance quality.

Step 2: Detailed Video Critique & Performance Review
Each performance is reviewed through the lens of:
• Technical execution and clarity
• Alignment and movement efficiency
• Musicality and dynamics
• Performance quality and stage presence
• Artistic intention and storytelling
• Strengths and opportunities for growth
The critique provides dancers with a deeper understanding of their current performance level and clear areas to focus on moving forward.

Step 3: Personalized Feedback Session
Following the video critique, dancers participate in a personalized feedback session with Ashley. This conversation allows dancers to discuss observations, ask questions, clarify concepts, and explore practical ways to apply the feedback.

Step 4: Next Steps
Each dancer receives personalized takeaway notes highlighting key observations, areas of focus, and recommendations for continued progression. These notes provide a valuable reference to guide future practice and development.

Whether you're preparing for competition, an audition, an examination, or looking for professional feedback to support your development, we invite dancers, families, and studio owners to connect with us to learn more or reserve your spot for a Private Adjudication session. We look forward to supporting your continued growth through thoughtful, personalized feedback.
